Report: More people don't read breaking news; trust in the news also fallen

According to a recent survey, Singaporeans trust the news slightly more than they did before the outbreak in 2019 (42%), 36% in 2020, and 45% in 2021 when the outbreak occurred. Assoc Prof Edson Tandoc Jr, Director of the Centre for Information Integrity and the Internet at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, NTU said the mainstream media remains the most trusted but has also been impacted by digital media.
