Programme for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Prof Boh speaking to participants

In 2019, we successfully conducted a free training programme for working professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs.

It introduced participants to the key innovation skills and tools required to identify and evaluate business opportunities. And hopefully, it helped to kickstart a few entrepreneurial journeys, too.

As part of the programme, they answered questionnaires and took part in short interviews to track their progress, for which they were paid for their time.

We would like to thank everyone who participated and congratulate our winners, Marshall Poh and Randy Toh. Each received a $1,000 cash prize.

Their ideas for micro loans and e-waste recycling impressed our panel of judges in terms of novelty, feasibility, and profitability.

At the moment, there are no plans to conduct the programme this year.

Here’s what some of our past attendees have said about our programme:

Very good in the training flow of contents. Well done!
- R.K.

An engaging programme provides key insight of identifying business opportunities.
- L.W.

Professor Boh Wai Fong is very knowledgeable and engaging. She includes every one of us in the programme for all discussions and allows us to openly share our ideas.
- S.K.

Great initiative and interesting frameworks discussed, along with opportunity to meet likeminded people.
