Zheng Wen Jie (transliteration) from Hebei Province, China, has studied in Singapore for nine years and is currently studying at NTU’s WKWSCI. She did not go home during the Lunar New Year for the past few years and usually chose to return home and visit relatives in June or July. However, her plan to return home last year was ruined by the pandemic. Her family had hoped that she would return home this Lunar New Year but she gave up her plans, considering the complicated measures and procedures for testing and isolation within Singapore and China.
