Thala-SIMI-AH? NTU Student-led Campaign To Create Awareness on Thalassaemia

The New Age Parents, 4 Mar

A team of four final-year communications undergraduates from NTU have started a campaign to raise awareness among prospective parents on ‘Thalassaemia’ – the most common genetic blood disorder in Singapore. About 1 in 20 Singaporeans is estimated to be Thalassaemia carriers and possibly at risk of having a child with Thalassaemia Major. As part of their campaign called Thala-SIMI-AH?, the team is employing social media and on-ground activations to engage Singaporean young adult couples.
