A group of NTU Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information students conducted a survey with over 400 young adults aged 25 and 34 years old and found that that almost 57 per cent of youth believed that they are not likely to get a stroke as they are still young. Miss Christina See-Kei Wong and her group members shared that stroke could occur to those as young as 15 years old, and that the number of stroke patients aged between 15 and 59 years old has increased from 1,627 in 2077 to 2,122 in 2016. The group started a ‘Strike Before Stroke’ campaign to raise awareness and knowledge about stroke among young adults.
