Doctors say the rise in the number of younger stroke patients could be a reflection of lifestyle factors such as smoking, poor diet and obesity. A recent survey, conducted by four final-year students from NTU of 400 adults aged 25 to 34, found that 57 per cent of the young adults do not think they will get a stroke as they are young. 66 per cent of them are unable to list any stroke symptoms.
