Ninety per cent of young people are unclear about hidden sugars in food

Four students from NTU’s Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information conducted a study last year involving 382 youths aged between 18 and 24 years old. Their study showed that 90 per cent of them were very much unaware about hidden sugars in food, such as the sugar added by manufacturers or natural sugars in honey or fruit juice.
