A recent study among over 200 students from NTU found that more than half of those who drink suffer from the “Asian flush”. The study is part of a campaign called “RedAF” by a group of students from NTU’s Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information. The campaign, a play on the millennial expression “AF” to stand for both its original meaning of “extremely” and Asian flush, looks at increasing awareness of the potential risks associated with the flush and promote healthier drinking habits in Singapore.
