​Gen Y Speaks: My parents talk to me about their deaths. Yours should too.

In a commentary, fourth-year NTU communication studies student Yeo Zhi Yi discussed the importance of parents talking about their deaths to their children despite it being a taboo topic in most Asian culture. Doing so today means a much lighter burden to bear in the future when death eventually hits home, she said. Zhi Yi, together with three schoolmates, have started a digital campaign called “Dying To Talk” which encourages families to discuss death through a simple conversation kit.
