Four NTU students from WKWSCI have started an advocacy campaign named ‘Re-Wired’. Their survey found that only one in 10 young Singaporeans recycle electronic waste. They also found that that many young people neither understand the need to recycle e-waste nor are inclined to take proactive action to do so. Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Masagos Zulkifli Masagos Mohamad joined students from four tertiary institutions from NTU, NUS, SUTD and SIM yesterday in a pledge to reduce and recycle e-waste on their campuses.
