Congratulations to the winners of the Dr Goh Lai Yoong Awards and Bursary 2021!

Ten outstanding Chemistry students from the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS) were presented with the Dr Goh Lai Yoong Awards and Bursary at a ceremony held on 28 October 2021.

Established in 2010, the Dr Goh Lai Yoong Endowment Fund is named in honour of Dr Goh Lai Yoong, a pioneering female chemist who worked at NTU and other universities in Singapore and Malaysia, over the course of her six-decade career. 

 

The fund provides scholarship awards and bursaries for talented female students in the Division of Chemistry, with the goal of inspiring and encouraging more young women to venture into science, research, and academia. 

The awardees for the Goh Lai Yoong Best FYP Project Award, the Goh Lai Yoong Award, and the Goh Lai Yoong Bursary each received $150, $500, and $2000 respectively.
