Chua Song Lin

Chua Song Lin

Song Lin is a third year College scholar of the Environmental Earth Systems Science programme. He believes in contributing to the society and has therefore represented Singapore in ASEAN events like the Youth of South East Asia Leaders Initiative regional workshop, as well as the ASEAN Biology Camp in Thailand.

Aspiring to be an entrepreneur, Song Lin would like to create awareness for the Mekong Delta environmental crisis through a videomaking workshop.

Ezekiel Cheong Ze Ken 

Ezekiel joined the Biological Sciences with Second Major in Biomedical Structural Biology programme in 2017 and is now a second year student. As a Youth Leader for more than 6 years, he has mentored and impacted many young children.

With this award, Exekiel will be organizing an outdoor excursion for children from low-income families. Apart from bringing joy to these children, he would also like to educate them on nature and animals through visits to the Zoo, River Safari or the Bird Park.

Lin Min Htoo 

Min Htoo is a CN Yang Year 2 Scholar studying in the Chemistry and Biological Chemistry programme. He is actively involved in the NTU Student Union, Ukulele Club, Chinese Orchestra, to name a few. He was also the committee Vice Chairperson for this year’s CN Yang Scholars Graduation Dinner.

Min Htoo would like to reach out to the migrant workers community in Singapore. He aimed to organise a structured interacting session between these migrant workers and the Singapore students. This provides an opportunity for the students to better understand them while also making them feel welcomed.

Yan Biaoguo

Biaoguo is a third year Nanyang Scholar in the Biological Sciences with Second Major in Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacology programme. He is currently the Centre Head of NTU Welfare Services Club and is also actively volunteering under the Fei Yue Community Services Centre.

Aspired to pursue postgraduate studies in healthcare-related research, Biaoguo plans to organise a first aid training workshop for the underprivileged youths in Singapore. The ultimate aim is to equip these youths with the abilities to respond to emergencies.
