Lim Jia Hui
Graduated in 2013

Jia Hui is an undergraduate student in the Chemistry & Biological Chemistry in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.

Jia Hui’s deep passion in piano music led to his involvement in the NTU CAC Piano Ensemble, where he began as a member, and subsequently became its Treasurer and eventually as its Chairperson in the academic year 2011-12. He strongly believes in the therapeutic values in music and hopes to make the learning of music more accessible and affordable. But Jia Hui’s passion goes beyond music. His concern for the environment is also reflected through his involvement in the Environmental Awareness Campaign of the NTU Earthlink Society.

Through this award, Jia Hui intends to broaden his social involvement further, through a project to be conducted in partnership with the Red Cross Youth NTU Chapter. They will be organizing an outing for some hospice care patients. These patients can perhaps also expect to receive some musical therapy during the outing.
