Vision Statement

NTU's SkillsFuture Work-Study Degree Programme (WSDeg Prog) is NTU's alternative degree pathway programme focusing on student’s experiential learning through workplace immersion, skills deepening and continuous learning to enable graduating relevant work skills for direct employment upon graduation.


Value Proposition

A distinctive combined academic-workplace experiential learning through professional workplace application from acquired knowledge whereby students through workplace immersion of skills application acquire deeper technical skills; but also acquiring other essential workplace life-skills thus enhancing employability and related contribution upon graduation.

MSE Internship and WSDeg Work Terms (AY22-23 Onwards)

Students on WSDeg track will have to dedicate 13 AU of UE/BDE for the work terms (1, 3, & 4). Please access the curriculum page for each cohort/ program AU requirements.

     a. 10 Weeks

     c. 5 AU (UE/BDE)

     a. 20 Weeks
     b. Year 3 Semester 1
     c. Same Course as other students taking Professional Internship

     d. 10 AU (Core/FC)

WSDeg Block 2 
    a. 11 Weeks
    b. Year 3 Summer Semester
    c. 5 AU (UE/BDE)

     a. 5 Weeks
     b. Year 4 Winter Semester
     c. 3 AU (UE/BDE)

    a. Year 4 Semester 1 & 2
    b. 8 AUs total for 2 semesters
    c. Timeline following NTU MSE FYP (MS4089) NTU MSE FYP Page
    d. Students can opt for presentation or demonstration for their final FYP examination
    e. Presentation/ Demonstration date is the same as MS4089 Poster Presentation date
    f. Students registered for the course will gain access to the necessary forms and detailed information through NTULearn
