The LKCMedicine Newsletter: Tackling and demystifying dementia

In Singapore, one in 10 people aged 60 and above has dementia. To increase awareness about how cognitive disorders such as mild cognitive impairment and dementia can be affected by the health of our blood vessels, LKCMedicine’s Dementia Research Centre (Singapore) held its inaugural Cognition Awareness Day for the public on 23 February. The Centre also presented key preliminary findings from its longitudinal Biomarker and Cognitive Impairment Study.

At the same time, we celebrate the conferment of National Awards (COVID-19) to the LKCMedicine community in recognition of their outstanding contributions to Singapore’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, and the achievements of our students and alumnus who did the School proud.
