Editor's Corner: Celebrating the success of LKCMedicine

By Anne Loh, Editor, The LKCMedicine

How quickly time passes. LKCMedicine's second batch of students – the Class of 2019 – are now out in Singapore's hospitals on their Postgraduate Year 1. They are now undergoing a rite of passage that will call into play everything they have learned during their five years in LKCMedicine, and then some. We catch up with some of them to find out how they are faring.

We profile Nanyang Assistant Professor Christine Cheung who has been awarded the prestigious Human Frontier Science Program Young Investigator Grant for a groundbreaking new research study. How did she get interested in research and what motivates her?

We also spoke with Vice-Dean for Clinical Affairs, Professor Pang Weng Sun, on the occasion of his being presented with the Lee Foundation-NHG Lifetime Achievement Award in May. He told us about his work in geriatric and palliative medicine so far and his philosophy of being a doctor that makes an impact on patients' lives.

Don't miss the latest news and happenings as well. Happy reading!
