Art & Science of Medicine Festival 2025
Some 4,000 visitors attended the third edition of the Art & Science of Medicine Festival (ASMF) held at Tampines Hub’s Central Plaza on 4 October 2025. Supported by more than 150 staff, student helpers, partners, and alumni, the event was graced by Dr Kenneth Mak, Director-General of Health at Singapore’s Ministry of Health. Meanwhile, ASMF 2024 bagged the APEX 2025 Award of Excellence under the category of Campaigns, Programmes & Plans – Special Events & Meetings. Out of more than 1,000 entries, ASMF 2024 was one of the applications to be recognised for its overall communications excellence.

LKCMedicine Wins ASPIRE to Excellence Award in Student Engagement
LKCMedicine once again receive recognition from the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE) at the ASPIRE Awards 2025, which honours schools where students are active partners in shaping their education and community. This 2025 commendation follows LKCMedicine’s earlier ASPIRE recognition in 2021, when it became the first medical school in Singapore and the fourth in Asia to win the award for Excellence in Curriculum Development, along with a Certificate of Merit in Student Engagement. 

LKCMedicine White Coat Ceremony 2025LKCMedicine welcomed its largest cohort yet at the annual White Coat Ceremony on 13 August 2025. The event marked the official induction of 190 first-year students into the medical profession — the Class of 2030 — who will be the second cohort to graduate with the NTU MBBS degree.​ Guest-of-Honour Dr Wong Chiang Yin, Master of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, addressed the aspiring doctors, urging them to remain grounded in their purpose and to find their “anchor point” in medicine, a reminder that “at its elemental core, medicine is a force for good”.​

LKCMedicine and LKCMedicine-NHG Academic Health System Receive National Day Awards 2025
Professor Cheah Tiang Seng Jason received the Public Administration Medal (Silver) (Bar), while Professor Kwek Tong Kiat, Associate Professor Lim Si Chi, and Director of Communications & Outreach Ms Siti Rohanah Koid each received the Public Administration Medal (Bronze). Associate Professor Chong Chi Ted received the Long Service Medal while 16 adjunct faculty members also received the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) in recognition of their service to the School, the University, hospitals, and the nation.

LKCMedicine Launches Inaugural Summer and Winter Youth Programme
LKCMedicine Graduate Programmes welcomed 19 undergraduate medical students from several universities in China on 15 August 2025. Participants had the opportunity to broaden their perspectives, deepen their medical knowledge and experience LKCMedicine’s innovative pedagogical approach. Met with remarkable enthusiasm by the participants, the Summer and Winter Youth programme will be held annually to engage medical students from China.

LKCMedicine Scientists Among World’s Top Most-Cited
Thirty-three LKCMedicine scientist have been spotlighted among the world’s top 2% most-cited scientists in the Stanford-Elsevier 2025 list, underscoring the School’s growing global impact in biomedical and clinical research. The ranking method developed by Stanford University is deemed to be the gold standard in the scientific research field. Read the full list here.
