Product/Proposal: PRESSWISE is a smart textile platform designed to continuously monitor pressure and support more proactive prevention of pressure injuries.
Description: PRESSWISE combines pressure-sensing textiles with real-time monitoring and predictive insights to help caregivers identify pressure injury risks earlier and make safer and more informed care decisions. By enabling continuous pressure monitoring rather than relying solely on periodic assessments, PRESSWISE aims to support earlier intervention and more proactive prevention, particularly for patients who are bedridden or have limited mobility.
The team will use the funding to improve prototype reliability, conduct testing and validation, and develop the platform towards a more practical form for use in real caregiving environments.
