With over 550 participants and 200+ teams from around the world, the hackathon provided a global platform for innovators to explore emerging AI technologies, collaborate across disciplines, and turn ambitious ideas into impactful prototypes. The event fostered a dynamic ecosystem of creativity, experimentation, and rapid innovation, empowering participants to solve real-world challenges through AI, machine learning, web technologies, and no-code solutions. Projects were evaluated by an esteemed panel of industry experts and technology leaders from renowned organisations including Amazon, Apple, IBM, TikTok, Disney, FedEx, PepsiCo, Netflix, and HCA Healthcare, bringing diverse perspectives from across the global technology landscape.

Product/Proposal: The team built CarbonScreen - the NLP intelligence layer behind CarbonCredible, an AI-powered platform designed to enhance the transparency and credibility of carbon offset projects.

Description: By leveraging advanced language models, CarbonScreen analyses complex environmental documents, extracts critical insights, and transforms unstructured sustainability data into actionable intelligence. As a core component of CarbonCredible’s AI assessment pipeline, CarbonScreen enables faster, more consistent carbon project screening and helps organisations make informed decisions in the carbon market. Following its recognition at the Build the Future with AI Global Hackathon, the project is continuing to evolve through further development, validation, and exploration of real-world applications in climate technology.
