Tech-For-Good Service-Learning Course

The Tech-For-Good (T4G) Service Learning Course is a year-long course that empowers students to develop and implement tech-driven solutions to address pain points faced in the community. Designed to foster a "pay it forward" mindset, the course brings together interdisciplinary teams to create meaningful, sustainable projects that use technology for positive impact.

Through hands-on workshops, students will gain skills in design thinking, stakeholder engagement, and project management. At the end of the course, teams will present their projects and demonstrate their results in a final showcase.

Singapore Global Affairs Symposium

A student-led, high-impact conference, the Singapore Global Affairs Symposium (SGAS) provides a platform for student leaders and changemakers to engage in pressing global and regional challenges. Modelled after the St. Gallen Symposium, it is organised by NTU Honours College in collaboration with partner universities, public agencies, and industry leaders. Participants can earn Academic Units (AUs) based on their involvement.

NTU Venture Creation Programme

The course offers entrepreneurial students a platform to develop innovative, high-impact solutions with real commercial potential. Working in interdisciplinary teams, students will identify problems, design viable products or services, and build start-up concepts in emerging areas such as sustainability and artificial intelligence.

Participants will receive seed funding to prototype and test their ideas. Teams with the most promising ventures may be awarded additional grants of up to S$100,000 to scale their projects. Throughout the module, students will have access to NTU’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship ecosystem—including mentorship, incubation resources, and industry networks—to support the journey from concept to market.

Personal Development Programme

This four-year leadership development programme helps students grow both personally and professionally, preparing them to become impactful leaders in their fields.

Throughout their academic journey, participants will receive career guidance, one-on-one mentorship, and personalised coaching while gaining access to industry leaders. The programme also features interactive workshops and masterclasses designed to build advanced skills like strategic decision-making and leading effectively during challenging times.

Community Fundraising Project

This initiative encourages a "pay it forward" approach, giving students the skills and experience to organise and run fundraising campaigns for social causes.

Partnering with charitable organisations, students will learn how to lead effective fundraising efforts. Students will gain real-world experience in planning, managing, and executing impactful campaigns while raising funds to support causes they care about.

Student Ambassador Programme

This programme prepares students to serve as official ambassadors for NTU, developing their skills to represent the university at various visits and events. Through specialised training, participants gain the expertise needed to proudly showcase NTU to visitors and at university functions.

Each year, the most exceptional ambassadors will have the opportunity to join the distinguished Global Ambassador Programme. These select students will benefit from advanced training in key areas including diplomatic communication, public speaking, and cross-cultural engagement. As part of this prestigious programme, they will also represent NTU at high-profile university events, further enhancing their professional development and global perspective.

Create-Your-Own-Course

To promote independent, self-directed learning, Create-Your-Own-Course (CYOC) allows students to initiate, design, and implement credit-bearing courses in their areas of interest. This education model empowers students to shape their own learning experiences while earning academic credit. There are two pathways to choose from:

  • Curated Seminars: A team of students collaborates to design seminar courses delivered by external experts, such as leading scientists, industry professionals, and government leaders.
  • Independent Work: Students can either undertake individual research to explore a topic of interest under faculty supervision or work in groups on passion projects.
