About the competition: Now in its 19th edition, the 2026 QianliMa Rising Startup Competition is one of Taiwan’s premier startup competition platforms, which fosters entrepreneurship and technological innovation. Hosted by National Central University (NCU) and Landseed International Medical Corporation, the competition identifies promising startup teams with innovative solutions addressing industrial and societal needs.
The 2026 edition features an International Division welcoming startups worldwide to explore opportunities in Taiwan and expand into Asian markets. Culminating in a grand final round, finalist teams pitch and showcase their ventures at the 2026 tFP x BIOMED-X event.

Product/Proposal: AEGIS – Adaptive Elderly Gait Intervention & Stabilisation System
Description: AEGIS is an AI-powered proactive fall prevention and rehabilitation ecosystem designed to reduce fall-related injuries among older adults. It integrates a wearable Smart Belt with a LiDAR-enabled Vision Hub, using multimodal sensor fusion and Edge AI to monitor gait, posture, and movement in real time. The system identifies unstable gait and active falls, enabling directional haptic intervention, rapid protective airbag deployment logic, caregiver alerts, and AI-assisted mobility insights to support personalised rehabilitation and safer ageing.
