Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is excited to announce our joint lab with VFT, an ERI@N spin-off to develop safer, more durable and cost-effective batteries for storing renewable electricity and supporting future power grids. The NTU-VFT Joint Lab was officially launched during the Asia Clean Energy Summit (ACES) opening ceremony.
The collaboration will look at advancing vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFBs), which use non-flammable, aqueous-based liquids to store energy, significantly reducing the risk of battery fires as compared with traditional conventional lithium-ion batteries.
