Launch of FutureGrid Accelerator and Partnership with STT on Talent Development

Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N), together with ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC), LITEON Technology and NTU deep tech spin-off Amperesand hosted Ms Siow Huang Gan, Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade and Industry, at NTU's Electrification and Power Grids Centre (EPGC) for the launch of the FutureGrid Accelerator - Southeast Asia’s first live High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC)-powered AI infrastructure testbed.

Hosted at ERI@N's EPGC, developed by STT GDC and LITEON and supported by Amperesand, the FutureGrid Accelerator is the region's first live testbed demonstrating HVDC integration with AI workloads which help to support a more efficient, resilient and integrated power systems.

ERI@N also signed two agreements at the event; an MoU with STT GDC to partner on R&D solutions for AI data centres, training and talent development for the AI data centre sector, and an RCA with LITEON on the development and testing of a real-time controller for fuel cell-integrated DC microgrid for data centers.
