[Now Open] 2022 Social Science Research Thematic Grant (SSRTG) call

The 2022 Social Science Research Thematic Grant (SSRTG) call is now open.

We cordially invite you to collaborate with CRADLE on the Future of Learning theme if you are interested to apply. A screenshot of the theme is appended below.

Interested NTU Applicants are to first submit your proposal to CRADLE by Friday, 8 July 2022.

Points to note

  1. [IMPORTANT] MOE had published general feedback from the 2021 call, as well as observations of past SSRTG projects. This has been combined with the last set of feedback shared back in 2021 into 1 single list.
  2. There are 4 themes for the 2022 grant call.
    • All 4 themes remain largely similar to last year’s, with some refinements in MOE’s detailed description. These are highlighted in purple in the email to faculty below.
  3.  Please refer to the PDF file  MOE’s Topics of Interest for the Social Science Research Thematic Grant

  4. The submission quota of 15 proposals from NTU collectively (from 2020 call onwards) still applies. Hence, only 15 PIs whose proposals are selected during the internal review will submit to MOE.
  5. With effect from 1 Jul 2019, the NTU Contribution Form must be duly completed with relevant approvals should there be resources from NTU to be committed to the proposed project. Please write in to request for the NTU Contribution Form as and when required.

Internal deadlines

  1. Actual submission to MOE: As per Point 1d above, only 15 proposals will eventually be submitted to MOE. All 15 PIs must adhere to the deadline of 31 Aug 2022 stated below.

Time is required for the submissions to be checked for compliance to the funding requirements and guidelines.

Late submissions might not be verified and endorsed in time by grant call closing date.
