Your Rights as a Participant

If you're interested in joining our studies, it's important for you to be aware of your rights as a participant. 

Your rights include:

  • Informed Consent - Prior to participating in any study, you will receive an informed consent form explaining the scope of the study in addition to any possible risks involved.
  • Voluntary Participation and Withdrawal - Your participation in our studies is completely voluntary, and you may withdraw freely at anytime without stating a reason.
  • Data Confidentiality - All data collected as part of our studies will be securely stored and made accessible only by research members.

All studies conducted by CRADLE are governed by an Institutional Review Board (IRB). The goal of the IRB is to maintain the highest level of research ethics and protect the rights, safety, and welfare of participants. 

Frequently Asked Questions

Your role as a participant is a vital part to our research. By joining our studies, you will help add to our understanding of the brain. No-long term commitment is required. Many of our studies also offer gift cards for your participation!

Depending on the study, you may be asked to complete a variety of activities, such as playing games, cognitive assessments, undergoing MRI scans, group discussions, or interviews.
Our studies are looking for participants of all ages and backgrounds. The eligibility criteria varies depending on the study. Please check the ongoing studies in your age group.
Our studies may be in-person or online. In-person studies are usually conducted at NTU or NUS.
Once you've signed up for a study, our research staff will check your eligibility as soon as possible. If you're eligible, they will reach out to you through email or messaging to schedule your first session.
