The Wellbeing Collective (TWC)
The Wellbeing Collective unites passionate students and staff who champion mental health, wellbeing and a culture of support and care. Under the guidance of the
University Wellbeing Office, TWC is a grassroot community that offers emotional support, social connection and personal growth through initiatives like peer support, care walks, evidence-based training and activities that develop psychological resources, coping strategies as well as strengthen emotional resilience.
We offer a range of proactive and preventive wellbeing initiatives to help you build resilience, practise self-care and support your peers. These include digital wellbeing resources, regular wellbeing tips and articles, wellbeing talks and workshops, Psychological First Aid training, and annual signature events such as October Wellfest and HERE4U to promote wellbeing awareness, literacy and skills.
As an NTU student, you will have access to Intellect, the wellbeing mobile app. Intellect provides self-help as well as online live coaching and counselling, making professional wellbeing support readily available anytime, anywhere.
Psychological First Aid (PFA)
Psychological First Aid (PFA) training is a key feature of our community’s approach to wellbeing. Conducted in collaboration with the Singapore Red Cross, the training, accessible to students and staff, equips you with practical skills to recognise signs of emotional distress, provide initial support, and guide individuals to appropriate professional help. To make learning more accessible, the programme has been developed into an AI-enabled mobile learning experience that allows you to learn and sharpen your PFA skills through interactive, real-time support simulations, at your own pace.
If you live with a disability or have special educational needs, our Accessible Education Unit (AEU) will help you access appropriate academic accommodations and support services by partnering with faculty members as well as internal and external stakeholders. Because we want you to achieve your full potential and participate fully in university life.
Counselling and psychological services
As an NTU student, you will have access to the University Counselling Centre’s multidisciplinary team of professional psychologists, counsellors and Special Education Needs Specialists who provide confidential, evidence-based support for a range of personal, emotional, psychological, and academic concerns. Our services are available free-of-charge and the support will be tailored to your needs. Where appropriate, our team may refer you to specialised or longer-term care. We also have an after-hours Psychological Emergency Line for urgent support.
