Shopping is the national pastime, especially if you're a Singaporean drawn to shiny malls such as ION Orchard or the new Funan. Last year, independent creative Shaiful Risan together with NTU Asst Prof Liew Kai Khiun, curated a pop-up exhibition called The Mall Museum, documenting the sub-culture and architecture of strata-titled malls including Peninsula Shopping Centre, Excelsior Shopping Centre and Far East Plaza, with pictures by photographer Darren Soh.
