In a commentary, NTU WKWSCI Prof Ang Peng Hwa wrote about the restructuring of the papers in the Singapore Press Holdings stable. The restructuring must aim to strengthen not just SPH but the entire news media eco-system so that our leading local news outlets will attract readers, and the new (and improved) news regime must not only aim to ensure the survival of SPH (and Mediacorp) but must also encourage diversity of news sources, he wrote.
