NTU team puts heart into getting all female undergrads equipped with life-saving skills

A group of NTU communication students organised a CPR workshop yesterday as part of a campaign to raise awareness of life-saving skills and the use of an automated external defibrillator machine. The initiative is targeted at women, as a survey of 270 undergraduates showed only 52 per cent of women were trained in CPR, compared with 92 per cent of men. Team member Kimberley Seah said that this is because men here have more opportunities to learn life-saving skills, through national service and being part of uniformed groups in school.
