​Fighting online falsehoods: Experts say there will still be problems in implementing the recommendations of the Select Committee

The Select Committee has recommended public education and setting up an alliance to verify facts in the fight against fake news. Experts say that different groups face different problems in using the internet. NTU WKWSCI Assoc Prof Edson C Tandoc Jr. said that youths may have certain motivations and intentions in using social media and hence, could be susceptible to being deceived. On the other hand, seniors are less familiar with technology and could become victims.
