South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival (Austin, Texas, U.S)

The Issues in Advertising course will explore the issues that modern advertisers face and train you to be a creative storyteller. As part of this course, you will be ideating, generating strategic insights, and identifying relevant cultural and social trends that will help you create award-winning creative solutions for global competitions. We alternate between two major conferences for this course.

At the end of the course, you will spend 10 days in Austin, Texas at the SXSW conference. It is one of the largest and most well-known events of its kind, bringing together a diverse and global community of creative minds, marketers, and brands. The interactive track specifically focuses on technology, innovation, and digital creativity, featuring a wide range of sessions and exhibitions that explore the latest trends and advancements in various fields from health to tech and design to branding and beyond. SXSW provides a unique immersive experience for graduate students to experience cutting-edge of creativity and technology in one of the coolest cities in the United States.
