Our school’s holistic and rigorous education aims to equip our students with a strong foundation of knowledge and analytical and critical skills that will enable them to have successful careers in the future. In addition, they can expand their learning horizons through internships and exchange experiences in Singapore and overseas. Our distinguished faculty, who hail from some of the best universities in the world, support our students in their learning journey. Apart from being dedicated educators, they actively engage in progressive research in their respective fields.
Scholarships and Awards
| (a) | ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship The ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship is offered by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) for citizens or permanent residents of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), except Singapore. |
| (b) | Chair’s Award The Chair’s Award seeks to provide academically top students with the opportunity to further their holistic development in NTU. |
| (c) | Dean’s Award The Dean’s Award seeks to provide academically top students with the opportunity to further their holistic development in NTU. The Dean’s Award provides students with the opportunity to join the NTU Talent Development Programme (TDP) and Undergraduate Research Experience on Campus (URECA) Programme. |
| (d) | Nanyang Global Scholarship The Nanyang Global Scholarship is awarded to outstanding freshmen pursuing undergraduate programmes and recognises students with outstanding academic results, strong leadership abilities, and very good co-curricular records. |
| (e) | Nanyang Merit Scholarship |
| (f) | Mr and Mrs Goh Chan Boo Scholarship (applicable only for undergraduates who major in SPPE) Mr & Mrs Goh Chan Boo Scholarship is to support promising students who have a strong interest in the humanities and social sciences in their pursuit of an undergraduate degree. |
| (g) | NTU President Award The NTU President Award is a prestigious award given to students with exceptional leadership qualities, excellent co-curricular records and outstanding academic results. Beyond the generous financial benefits, explore the various non-financial benefits and development opportunities given exclusively for this award. |
| (h) | Wee Cho Yaw Future Leaders Award The Wee Cho Yaw Future Leaders Award was established by United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) to provide tertiary education opportunities for students from less privileged backgrounds. |

1. | Dean's List | The Dean's List is awarded to deserving top-performing students on a yearly basis. The top 5% of the cohort, subject to attaining a minimum YGPA of 4.50 and the specified AU of graded courses by curriculum type taken in NTU in the academic year, is eligible for the Dean's List. |
2. | Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal | The medal is awarded to a student who is first in general proficiency throughout the programme of study and has been awarded Honours (Highest Distinction) for the degree of the following:

| 3. | Koh Boon Hwee Scholars Award | The Koh Boon Hwee Scholars Award seeks to recognise the accomplishments of our exceptionally talented graduating students, who display strong leadership ability and have demonstrated great potential to contribute to society. Each awardee receives a gold medal and a cash award of S$1,000. The award also allows the students to honour their nominated teachers (a teacher from their former junior college, polytechnic, or equivalent institution) and university faculty members for their dedication and contributions in inspiring and providing youths with an outstanding, holistic education. These teachers and NTU faculty members are honoured at the NTU Convocation. Each nominated teacher will also select a current NTU student to receive a study grant of S$10,000. |
| 4. | SSS Book Prize (Applicable for all SSS Year 1 students) | This award is awarded to a student with best performance in 6 programme major core courses or programme electives in the 1st year examination. |
| 5. | SSS Book Prize (Applicable for all SSS Year 2 students) | This award is awarded to a student with best performance in 6 programme major core courses or programme electives in the 2nd year examination. |

| 1 | Mr and Mrs Ang Soon Hian Book Prize (Applicable for Year 2 and Year 3 students) | The book prize (cash award) is awarded to a student for academic achievement/excellence in the second and third year examination for the degree of Bachelor of Social Sciences in Sociology. |
| 2 | Mr and Mrs Kwok Chin Yan Book Prize (Applicable for Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 students) | The book prize (cash award) is awarded to a student for academic excellence in the first or second- or third-year examination for the degree of Bachelor in Social Sciences in Sociology. |
| 3 | Mr and Mrs Kwok Chin Yan Sociology Research Book Prize | The book prize is awarded to graduating students with best performance in the final year project for the degree of Bachelor of Social Sciences in Sociology. If the best final year project is completed by a group of more than one student, the cash award would be shared among the students. |
Applicable for students who major in Economics

| 1 | Ministry of Trade & Industry (Economist Service) Best Thesis Prize | The cash award is awarded to a project group with best performance in the Final Year Project thesis for the degree of Bachelor of Social Sciences in Economics. If the best Final Year Project Thesis is completed by a group of more than 1 student, the cash would be shared among the group that completed the project. |
| 2 | Ministry of Trade & Industry (Economist Service) Prize | The cash award is awarded to an outstanding third-year student for achieving the academic year's best cumulative results from Year 1 to Year 3 for the degree of Bachelor of Social Sciences in Economics. |
| 3 | Economics Society of Singapore Gold Medal | The medal is awarded to the best student who has obtained Honours (Highest Distinction) in the final year examination. |
| 4 | Professor Sir John Hicks and Lady Ursula Hicks Gold Medal | The medal cum cash award is awarded to the most outstanding graduating student in the areas of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics for the degree of Bachelor of Social Sciences in Economics:
