Pickleball and People: SoH SportsLight Brings Students and Alumni Together

SoH Club’s annual SportsLight returned this year in March with a fresh and inclusive twist, bringing together students, alumni, staff, and faculty through the shared experience of sport. Designed to introduce the SoH community to new sporting activities while strengthening bonds, this year’s edition expanded its reach through a collaboration with the SoH Alumni Association.

Participants were introduced to the increasingly popular sport of pickleball, with two sessions held in the east and west to ensure greater accessibility. Each session was guided by facilitators who walked participants through the fundamentals, including gameplay rules, basic techniques, scoring, and court etiquette. Attendees also had the opportunity to put their learning into practice through facilitated games.

 A total of 32 participants joined the sessions, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere across both locations. The event saw meaningful interactions across different groups within the SoH community, with many participants sharing positive feedback and expressing enjoyment.
