ASEAN Visiting Graduate Research Student Scheme
The School of Humanities (SoH) ASEAN Visiting Graduate Research Student Scheme is a pilot programme that offers a short-term, in-residence research attachment at NTU for high-performing graduate researchers from ASEAN universities.
Features
- Visit duration: Up to one academic semester (up to 6 months). Visits should commence ideally at the start of the semester in January or August.
- The scheme covers research fees and a living subsidy of up to SGD 9,000 per participant.
Eligibility, Supervision and Selection
- Applicants must be ASEAN nationals and preferably studying in an ASEAN country.
- Applicants must be an enrolled graduate student with good academic standing.
- Applicants must secure prior agreement from a SoH faculty member to host and supervise the participant for the full duration of the visit.
Funding Support
The pilot scheme accepts up to 5 ASEAN students and covers the following expenses.
- NTU Research fees*: Full coverage of approved research fee for 1 semester.
- Living subsidy: SGD 1,500/month per participant for up to 6 months in Singapore
*Other miscellaneous fees like Student pass and visa fees; application fees, Research Miscellaneous fees are to be borne by students.
