Passing the Torch: History Sub-Club’s Mentor-Mentee Day

The History Sub-Club successfully organised Mentor-Mentee Day 2026 on 5 February 2026, continuing an initiative first adopted in the post-COVID period that has since become an annual highlight for the History cohort. Designed as an in-person engagement platform, the event aimed to foster meaningful connections between students and faculty beyond the formal curriculum. Through a series of interactive, non-academic games and activities, participants were given an opportunity to interact in a relaxed and informal setting. This year’s Egyptian-themed programme added an extra layer of creativity and enjoyment, creating a lively atmosphere that encouraged bonding and participation. The session successfully strengthened relationships within the History community, enhanced the overall university experience for students, and provided faculty with valuable opportunities to better understand and connect with their mentees.
