University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT)

UCAT Logo

UCAT is a computer-based admissions and aptitude test to help select applicants for medical and dental degree programmes.

Only results of UCAT taken in the twelve-month period prior to admissions to LKCMedicine will be considered in the selection process. For example, if one is applying for AY2024-25 admissions, the UCAT should be taken between 10 July – 28 September 2023 prior to applying to LKCMedicine.

Personal Statement

Requirements for Personal Statement:

  • An essay of not more than 300 words in the online application form
  • Give reason(s) for wanting to study medicine or experience that may have driven desire to become a doctor.
  • Highlight leadership experience and teamwork ability. 

Referee Reports

Requirements for online Referee Reports

  • Question-and-answer format (estimated completion time: 10 minutes)
  • Nominate two referees, where one of them must be the applicant’s Civics Tutor/Form Teacher (GCE A-level, IB, NUSHS and international qualifications) or Personal Tutor/Mentor (Polytechnic).
  • Applicants will be provided instructions and login details who should then forward it to their referees. 

Health Requirements

Applicants offered admissions to LKCMedicine must fulfil the standardised set of screening and vaccination requirements stipulated by the Ministry of Health (MOH), Singapore. These requirements are subject to changes by MOH Singapore. View the requirements here. 

Criminal Record Declaration

Applicants to LKCMedicine undertaking the MBBS programme are required to complete a Criminal Record Declaration Form in the NTU online admissions application portal. It should be noted that a positive criminal record declaration may not necessarily prevent an applicant from being accepted into the MBBS programme.

Multiple-Mini Interviews (MMI)

Based on the information submitted in applications above, applicants may be shortlisted for the MMI around April each year. View here to understand more on the MMI.
