NTU-LTA-Volvo Launch First 12m Fully Electric Autonomous Bus

A project suppported by the Singapore Land Transport Authority, the single-deck Volvo Electric bus is 12 metres long and has a full capacity close to 80 passengers. Plans are in place to test the bus at NTU Singapore and to subsequently extend the route beyond the NTU campus. 

This historic achievement was made possible with the support of Volvo, LTA, ABB and SMRT. The Autonomous Vehicles and Electric Mobility team of researchers at ERI@N worked on the software of the autonomous bus and we are extremely proud to be a key part of this incredible milestone.
