
Gerard Dionicio GONZALES
Gerard is Adjunct Associate Professor at the Nanyang Business School (NBS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), where he has been teaching part-time since 1997. He currently teaches marketing subjects at the undergraduate level and taught marketing, service quality, and customer value management subjects at the postgraduate levels in the Nanyang MBA and EMBA, and Cornell-Nanyang Institute's MMH (Master of Management in Hospitality) programmes. He has mentored students pursuing the NBS's Executive MBA course and taught and mentored students in the joint Bachelor of Business course with the EDHEC (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales) Business School in Paris, France. He is active in executive education and has conducted finance and marketing workshops for the NBS's Executive Development and Advanced Management Programmes, and the Cornell-Nanyang Institute of Hospitality Management Professional Development Programme. He is co-author of a chapter in the book "Business Opportunities in the Philippines" published in 1997 by the NTU and Prentice Hall. Since 2015 he has been an Associate Fellow with the Institute of Asian Consumer Insight (ACI).
Gerard has garnered 40 years of international management, consulting, and training experience in several countries in Asia, America, and Europe. Before setting up his consulting practice, Gonzales & Associates (G&A) Hospitality Consultants in 1989 held positions as managing director, general manager, consultant, financial controller, administrator, and internal auditor with various hospitality organizations in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the USA. Over the last 30 years, he has trained and consulted in the areas of strategic planning and marketing, asset and financial management, organizational development, and customer value management with chain and independent hospitality organizations located in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Nepal, France, China, and the United Kingdom. His firm's clients include The Ascott Group, Citadines Aparthotels, Raffles Knowledge, NTUC Club, Asia Pacific Breweries, Hewlett Packard, National Parks Board, and the Sabah Economic Development Corporation.
