Biography

Usha Chandradas is a Singapore-based publisher, educator, and tax advisor. A former partner in the Financial Services Department of Allen & Gledhill LLP, she holds multiple qualifications, including Master’s degrees in Asian Art Histories and Professional Accounting. Inspired by her studies in art history, she co-founded Plural Art Mag, an online platform focused on Southeast Asian art. Usha is a Chartered Accountant of Singapore (non-practicing), an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore and an Accredited Tax Specialist – Income Tax, of the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals.  She has served on the International Monetary Fund Legal Department’s Panel of Experts, rendering technical assistance to foreign tax administrations in the application, interpretation and drafting of taxation laws. and sits on several boards, including those of two listed companies, in the capacity of independent director. She also sits on the board of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore, and serves as a Nominated Member of the Parliament of Singapore. In her spare time, Usha actively supports community initiatives with Pro Bono SG, the Singapore Red Cross and the Singapore Medical Association Charity Fund.
