Assistant Professor Pei-Sze Chow from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) has been named as one of eight inaugural members of the National Trades Union Congress’ (NTUC) new Associate Researchers Circle @ Labour Alliance co-laB (ARC @ LAB).
Launched at the 6th NTUC Labour Research Conference on 1 October 2026, ARC brings emerging researchers into NTUC’s labour research network to contribute fresh perspectives on the changing world of work and issues affecting workers in Singapore.
The inaugural cohort’s research spans areas such as the impact of artificial intelligence on creative workers, how older workers adapt to workplace change, and how adults acquire new skills.
Pei-Sze’s research closely aligns with these conversations. An Assistant Professor of Digital Culture and New Media at WKWSCI, she studies the social, cultural and political implications of artificial intelligence on professionals working in the cultural and creative industries. She also works closely with media industry professionals in Singapore to understand how digital transformation is changing creative practices and the future of creative work.
As part of ARC, Pei-Sze will contribute her expertise to wider conversations on how workers can navigate shifts in jobs, skills and workplaces as technologies such as AI continue to reshape the world of work.
