i-SEA Fellowship Programme 2025: Welcoming Our Inaugural Cohort of 40 Southeast Asian Student Creators
The Centre for Information Integrity and the Internet (IN-cube) at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), in partnership with Temasek Foundation, is proud to launch the inaugural Influence for Impact in Southeast Asia (i-SEA) Fellowship Programme for Student Content Creators 2025.
This first edition brings together 40 young content creators from across Southeast Asia. Selected from more than 450 applicants, the fellows represent a diverse community of emerging digital voices committed to using their platforms for positive influence, media literacy, and information integrity.
The month-long hybrid fellowship begins with online masterclasses, mentorship, and industry engagements with experts from organisations such as Google, Mediacorp, SPH Media, TikTok and others. Fellows will explore topics including misinformation, media law, ethical content creation, journalism principles and the evolving role of AI in the digital environment.
Their journey will culminate in a week-long residency in Singapore from 8-12 December 2025, where fellows will hear from key figures across the media and public sectors. This includes remarks from Guest-of-Honour Senior Parliamentary Secretary Eric Chua, a keynote address by broadcast journalist and UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Atom Araullo, and a keynote by Kong Manjing, co-founder of Just Keep Thinking, one of Singapore’s largest educational channels, on the role of social media influencers in promoting information integrity. The programme also features contributions from academics, media practitioners and creators who play influential roles in shaping the region’s information landscape. Fellows will also get to meet and participate in discussions with other macro creators from Temasek Foundation's Trusted Creators Lab Programme.
The residency will conclude with an Awards Ceremony hosted by SPH Media, where fellows present their projects to a jury comprising representatives from Blackdot Research, Google, NTU, SPH Media and Splice Media.
The inaugural i-SEA Fellowship cohort marks the beginning of a vibrant regional community of young creators, poised to shape a digital space defined by integrity, creativity, and positive influence.
