The House Of Curiosities magic show combines magic with storytelling and dramatic elements, with each of the five performers having their own segment to present their bag of tricks. It is being staged by Meta Illusions, a magic show company started by Mr Alexander Yuen, who will be performing with university students Edward Loke, Shon Tan, Kenneth Kho and Kai Emmanuel Kuah.

During the busy weeks of the university semester, Mr Kuah, 23, says he plans his schedule such that he can devote enough time to both. "Magic is more than a side-hustle for me. If you love and enjoy something so much, you'll compromise the rest," adds the second-year communication student at NTU.
