In this opinion piece, the writer mentioned that after Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong delivered a national speech in December last year, a survey conducted by NTU of 999 Singapore residents found that one in four are convinced by online rumours that vaccination against the coronavirus will alter the body’s genes, and among them, many are elderly. The writer said that as more information about the vaccine is disclosed, it will help citizens to make an informed decision on whether or not to vaccinate.
