Children in Singapore encountered more cyber threats in 2020: Google survey

A Google survey on online safety among children has found that children in Singapore have encountered more cyber threats in 2020 compared to 2019, with inappropriate content and oversharing of information on social media reported as the top two cyber threats encountered. Prof Shirley Ho, from NTU's WKWSCI, also the Research Director for Arts, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences at the President’s Office, NTU, commented on some undesirable effects of the exposure of inappropriate information from the internet.
