Artificial Intelligence is no longer a future consideration. It is already influencing how students learn, how organisations recruit and develop talent, and how people assess the information they encounter online.

In a recent CNA Deep Dive Podcast episode, Ian Tan, Lecturer at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI), discussed whether educators, fresh graduates and employers are aligned in preparing for an AI-enabled future. The conversation explored what employers are looking for, how students can demonstrate relevant capabilities, and the role of higher education in bridging expectations between the classroom and the workplace.

Beyond education and workforce readiness, Ian has also contributed to broader discussions on the societal impact of AI. In interviews with CNA938 and MoneyFM 89.3, he examined the challenges of identifying AI-generated content and the growing importance of media literacy, to the ways AI is influencing workforce trends, business practices and economic transformation.
