Master of Media and Communication, 2026

Senior Officer, Product Marketing at Toyota Financial Services Vietnam, Vietnam

“Connecting theory with industry practice prepared me to navigate a rapidly changing media landscape.”

I was drawn to the Master of Media and Communication (MMC) for its interdisciplinary approach, combining communication theory with practical, industry-led learning. The programme gave me a strong foundation while exposing me to emerging tools, concepts and ways of thinking, particularly as AI continues to reshape media and communication.

One of my favourite experiences was working on a real brand brief and developing content from start to finish. We combined strategy with creativity while taking on different roles, from acting and directing to editing. Seeing an idea through from concept to execution gave me a deeper appreciation of the strategic thinking, creativity and collaboration behind effective content.

Learning alongside classmates from different countries, cultures and professional backgrounds also broadened my perspectives and the way I collaborate with others. Guest lectures and interactions with alumni and industry professionals complemented what we learnt in class by showing how communication strategies and practices are evolving across different sectors.

Receiving the Hinrich Global Trade Leader Scholarship was another meaningful part of my journey. Beyond the financial support, the scholarship connected me with a wider community of scholars and alumni from different backgrounds and gave me opportunities to learn from their experiences.

MMC strengthened my confidence in bringing my own perspective to the table while remaining open to new ideas and approaches. It also taught me the importance of staying curious and adaptable as technology continues to change how organisations communicate and connect with their audiences.
