LKCMedicine Ranks 85th in Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025
NTU continues to have seven subjects among the world’s top 50 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2025. Medical and Health (85th) made the biggest improvement, rising more than 15 places. The rankings were released on 22 January 2025. 

LKCMedicine Attains Highest Tier of Eco-Office Plus Certification
LKCMedicine was awarded the Eco-Office 4 Leaves Award (Elite) by the Singapore Environment Council. This award recognises the School’s collective commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, from reducing waste to implementing sustainable practices and fostering an eco-conscious workplace culture.

LKCMedicine Wins Silver Award at NTU Safety & Health Award Ceremony
LKCMedicine was awarded Silver at the annual Award Ceremony for its unwavering dedication and hard work in developing and upholding a robust safety and health management system. Head of Health & Safety Committee Associate Professor Kevin Pethe received the award on behalf of the School. 

LKCMedicine Joins Singapore’s First Academic-Clinical Research Unit for Health Behavioural Sciences
Over 30 researchers from LKCMedicine and Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, and multidisciplinary clinicians from NHG will be part of the Asian Centre for Health Behavioural Insights and Interventions (HABITS), an NTU-NHG research centre that aims to identify underlying factors exacerbating priority health concerns in Asian populations. The centre was launched by Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for Health, at LKCMedicine.

Strengthening the LKCMedicine Faculty
Nanyang Assistant Professor Shen Xiaotao was appointed Director of Singapore Phenome Centre (SPC) with effect 15 February 2025. Nanyang Assistant Professors Anna Barron and Foo Jia Nee were promoted to Associate Professor with tenure, while Associate Professor Joanne Ngeow was granted tenure, effective 1 March 2025. On 1 April 2025, NTU appointed Associate Professor Navin Verma as Deputy Research Integrity Officer. On 1 April 2025, Associate Professor Andrew Tan assumed the role as Vice Dean for Innovation and Enterprise. 

Delegation Visits
LKCMedicine’s Office of Medical Education hosted 22 visitors from eight Italian universities on 24 January 2025. The School also welcomed Professor Axel Behrens from the Scientific Director of Cancer Research UK Convergence Science Centre on 21 January 2025. From 17 to 19 March, eight delegates from the Irish Universities and Medical Schools Consortium (IUMC), together with former honorary consul-general of Ireland to Singapore Dr Stanley Quek, joined LKCMedicine faculty to present their research in medical education, respiratory and infectious diseases, and neuroscience at the 3rd IUMC-LKCMedicine Joint Symposium. On 28 March, an eight-member delegation from Tsinghua Medicine visited LKCMedicine. Professor Alejandro Frangi, Director of The Christabel Pankhurst Institute at the University of Manchester visited LKCMedicine on 2 April 2025 to explore potential research collaborations with LKCMedicine’s Data Science platform and the Centre of AI in Medicine.
