AHS Award
An annual effort to recognise individuals’ outstanding contributions in research and innovation, the Academy of Clinician Scientists & Innovators (ACSI) opened the call for nominations for the Academic Health System (AHS) Awards 2025 (formerly known as ACSI Awards) in Q2 of 2025. The winners were celebrated at the AHS Awards Ceremony, held on 29 September 2025 at LKCMedicine Clinical Sciences Building (CSB) Level 20 Flexi-Space.
The celebratory event brought together leaders, mentors, clinicians, researchers, innovators and medical students to toast outstanding contributions to healthcare research and innovation.

The ceremony kicked off with Welcome Remarks by ACSI Co-President and Dean of LKCMedicine, Prof Joseph Sung who showcased ACSI’s achievements over the past year, including outreach programmes, mentorship efforts, and training initiatives. He also shared exciting plans to further nurture research and innovation talents in alignment with AHS priorities.

In his Opening Address, the Guest of Honour, NHG Health Group Chief Executive Officer, Prof Joe Sim took the audience on a journey through the progress of the AHS since its launch in 2024, underscoring its role as a holistic framework that integrates care, education, and research. He emphasised that ACSI serves as the talent development arm of the AHS, championing the growth of Clinician Scientists and Clinician Innovators.

The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the AHS Awards 2025, shining a well-deserved spotlight on outstanding individuals across various award categories for their truly impactful contributions.

The ceremony also saw a heartwarming appreciation segment for A/Prof Lim Su Chi, who was recognised for his distinguished service as Clinical Scientist Development Office (CSDO) Clinical Director, as well as his pivotal role in developing research and innovation talent across institutional and national platforms. A plaque of recognition was presented to him in appreciation of his invaluable contributions.

The event wrapped up with Closing Remarks by A/Prof Benjamin Seet, who reaffirmed the strong partnership between NHG Health, LKCMedicine, and the wider NTU community in advancing research and innovation under the RIE2030 strategy.

The ceremony celebrated not only the achievements of the awardees but also the collective efforts of our academic health system community in pushing the boundaries of science, education, and innovation for better healthcare outcomes.

The Academy of Clinician Scientists & Innovators (ACSI) hosted its first Award Ceremony on 23 September 2024 to recognise their contributions, achievements and excellence in mentorship, translational research and innovation.
ACSI Co-President and Dean of LKCMedicine, Prof Joseph Sung opened the event by highlighting the Academy’s efforts in grooming Clinician Scientists (CSs) and Clinician Innovators (CIs). These efforts include fostering opportunities and creating platforms for our talents to collaborate, recruiting new talents into talent development programmes and engaging established CSs and CIs as mentors to guide our talents. The Guest of Honor, NHG Group Chief Executive Officer, Prof Joe Sim graced the event and shared that ACSI will continue to play a critical role to nurture more talents to support the cluster’s research and innovation endeavours under the Academic Health System.
