NTU student Li Jiaying (transliteration) did a photo essay about the daily lives of the boatmen who ferry passengers between Changi Ferry Terminal and Pulau Ubin. For extra income, these boatmen, many of whom are born on Pulau Ubin, also ferry passengers who want to scatter their loved ones’ ashes at sea, or bring fishermen on fishing trips.
