The Public Policy and Global Affairs Programme, School of Social Sciences, invites applications for part-time lecturers (PTLs). We are looking for PTLs who can contribute to teaching (conducting seminars, lectures, tutorials and assessment) in our Programme, particularly in these areas:
• Political Theory (including but not limited to the history of political thought, contemporary political theory, non-Western political theory, analytic political thought)
• Public Policy or Public Administration (including but not limited to public policy and administration in Singapore and Asia, policy implementation, AI and governance, sustainability)
• Environmental governance
• Civil society
• Gender and development
• Ethics and Civics
• Comparative politics

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop course materials and syllabus
• Conduct seminars/lectures/tutorials
• Develop assessments for the course
• Grade course assignments (including tests, quizzes, exam scripts)
• Invigilate the final examination.
• Handle all student queries on course related matter
• Work with the Head of Division to ensure smooth and timely course delivery

Qualification and requirement: 
• A least a PhD in social sciences, specialisation in a political science subfield will be an advantage
• Prior tutoring/lecturing experience will be an advantage
• Able to teach and invigilate during office hours

• Fundamentals of Politics
• Politics of Singapore
• Introduction to International Relations and Foreign Policy
• Introduction to Political Theory
• Introduction to Public Administration and Policy

Key Responsibilities:
• Attend lectures (to be discussed and agreed with course coordinator).
• Conduct tutorials and assessments for the assigned course.
• Grade course assignments (including tests, quizzes, exam scripts).
• Invigilate the final examination.
• Work closely with the course coordinator to handle students’ queries on course related matter.

Qualification and requirement:
• A least a Master Degree in social sciences, specialisation in a political science subfield will be an advantage.
• Some prior tutoring/lecturing experience will be an advantage.
• Able to tutor/lecture during office hours.

The School of Social Sciences, invites applications for part-time lecturers (PTLs). We are looking for PTLs who can contribute to teaching (conducting tutorials and assessment) in our School on Ethics and Civics. Preference will be given to applicants who can teach the following topics:
• Human rights, justice, and equality
• Meritocracy
• Political systems (Singapore, Southeast Asia)
• Multiculturalism
• Freedom of speech and responsibility
• Gender and diversity

Key Responsibilities:
• Attend lectures (online).
• Conduct tutorials and assessments for the assigned course.
• Grade course assignments (including tests, quizzes, exam scripts).
• Work closely with the course coordinator to handle students’ queries on course related matter.

Qualification and requirement:
• A degree in the social sciences, specialization in political science and sociology and good knowledge of Singapore will be an advantage.
• Demonstrable ability to teach the proposed topics on Ethics and Civics at the undergraduate level will be an advantage.
• Able to tutor/lecture during office hours.
